The Rideau Institute works with respected polling firms, and can organize public opinion research and develop communication strategies to influence decision makers. During the 2008 federal election, more than 10 organizations joined with the Rideau Institute in creating SmartVote2008, Canada’s first extra-Parliamentary “war room” to share analysis and drive media coverage. Groups worked with leading polling firms, such as Nanos Research.

Public opinion research

The Rideau Institute works with leading experts and analysts in their fields to produce cutting-edge research. Our reports frequently lead to high-profile media coverage and parliamentary committee inquiries on your issues, and have even resulted in millions of dollars being spent in subsequent federal budgets. When government ministers are then forced to respond to your analysis and demands, your issues simply cannot be ignored.

We can help you map out a lobbying strategy and craft the best messaging for your policy agenda. The Rideau Institute is often retained to monitor Parliament and conduct research for use internally by campaign staff and spokespersons. Our research has been used in campaigns by the Canadian Auto Workers, USC Canada, the Council of Canadians, CUPE, CEP, and public interest, citizen and labour organizations.
